UEH School of Technology and Design Signs a Cooperation Agreement with ABB Automation and Electrification Vietnam

As part of the 2nd International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design – RTD 2024” with the theme “Fostering Sustainability,” on July 15, 2024, the UEH School of Technology and Design (CTD), a member of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), officially signed a strategic agreement with ABB Automation and Electrification Vietnam. This milestone marks a new step in the collaboration between the two parties, aiming towards sustainable development.

ABB Vietnam, a subsidiary of ABB Group – a multinational Swiss corporation, is a trusted partner in the fields of electrical technology, automation, and robotics, providing solutions and services for industries in Vietnam. Representing ABB Vietnam, Mr. Trần An Khang, Director of the Robotics and Factory Automation Division, shared:

ABB Vietnam will sponsor a robot demonstration station for UEH School of Technology and Design, serving as a hands-on teaching and learning tool. Additionally, ABB will provide Robot Studio simulation software for one server and 100 client machines, allowing students to practice and gain experience.

Furthermore, ABB will send experts to conduct training sessions and share insights on robotics with faculty members and students. The company will also offer scholarships and internship opportunities for students at ABB Vietnam.

The successful signing ceremony between UEH School of Technology and Design and ABB Automation and Electrification Vietnam marks a significant milestone in their collaboration. It highlights UEH’s and CTD’s continuous efforts to expand partnerships both domestically and internationally. This cooperation enhances education and research quality, equipping students with essential skills and knowledge to become global citizens in the modern world.
