Korean – Vietnam Creative Idea Contest 2024: Promoting Collaboration and Global Creative Thinking Development

On the morning of August 20, the preliminary meeting for the Korean – Vietnam Creative Idea Contest 2024 was successfully held, with representatives from 7 Korean universities and 15 Vietnamese universities and colleges in attendance. This marks an important starting point for this year’s contest, with the promising theme: “Smart Life concepts leveraging IoT, ICT, AI, and Big Data.”

Building the Foundation for International Collaboration

The Korean – Vietnam Creative Idea Contest 2024 is a significant event, jointly organized by the Institute of Intelligent & Interactive Technologies UEH, the School of Technology and Design UEH, the Hanbat University Industry-University Cooperation Agency, and the Daejeon Area University-Industry Cooperation Alliance (DAESANHUYP).

The contest involves 7 Korean universities (Daejeon University, Mokwon University, Woosong University, Chungnam University, Hanbat University, and Polytechnic University) and 15 universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding areas. This event not only provides an opportunity for students from both countries to showcase their creativity but also serves as a platform to foster deeper collaboration between leading educational institutions in Daejeon, Korea, and universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

During the preliminary meeting, representatives from the universities discussed and agreed on the timeline, the announcement of the participating teams, and the detailed content of the official competition. The contest is scheduled to take place in November this year and is expected to bring forward innovative ideas that apply advanced technologies such as IoT, ICT, AI, and Big Data to real-life situations.

Encouraging the Development of Global Creative Thinking

This year’s contest is not just an intellectual playground but also an opportunity for students from both countries to exchange knowledge and learn from each other in a multicultural, multinational environment. The theme “Smart Life concepts leveraging IoT, ICT, AI, and Big Data” opens up numerous creative approaches, from developing technology applications for everyday life to solving larger societal challenges in the modern world.

The cooperation between universities in Daejeon and universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City not only strengthens the bilateral relationship between the two countries but also promotes the development of education, research, and technology application in management, business, finance, and industry.

The Korean – Vietnam Creative Idea Contest 2024 will be held from November 25 to November 27 at the B1 Auditorium and the 15th floor of Building B1, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, B Campus – 279 Nguyễn Tri Phương, Ward 5, District 10, HCMC. This is an anticipated event, promising to bring innovative and groundbreaking ideas from outstanding teams.
