During a working trip from January 14 to 20, 2024, the Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies (3I) – University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City paid a visit to and collaborated with the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory of Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro at Osaka University, Japan.
Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro, Director of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, is a world-renowned scientist in humanoid robots. Prominent for his concepts such as Geminoid, Android, Actroid, and Avatar, his robot products have lifelike shapes, subtle gestures and facial expressions, and are close to humans.
At the working session, representatives of the Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies had in-depth discussions on the development of robots, especially robots that apply artificial intelligence in life. In addition, the delegation was also introduced by Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro to his latest research in this field.
Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro also expressed his desire to cooperate with the Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies in the future, and hopes to welcome Vietnamese students to participate in research at the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory of Osaka University. The visit is a valuable opportunity for 3I Institute to strengthen international cooperation in the field of robotics, contributing to the development of the intelligent technology industry in Vietnam.
